You seem to have created duplicate families - I am sure I have done it myself but I can't remember how. It is easily fixed by merging these duplicate families. Click on the Families tab in the Records window. If you don't have one, click on View->Record Lists->Families and FH will create the tab. Scroll down till you see the duplicate families, select both using Ctrl-click, and then go to Edit->Merge/Compare records. FH will guide you in the merge process but it should be straightforward. In the case of the female, she will appear in a duplicated entry with no spouse as well as in individual entries with the two men. Such families appear at the end of the families list. In the Property Box Florence is shown as having two husbands, both called Francis. She married those two men, after having a child with an unnamed and (to me) unknown male. What I would like to end up with is her first child being attached to her without reference to a spouse, keep the two spouses and get rid of the "ghost spouse". > > Simple and clear suggestions welcomed, please, a computer whizz I ain't! > > I am using FH V4.1.3 running on Windows XP. > > David > > David Gynes > david.gynes@virgin.net > > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to FAMILY-HISTORIAN-USERS-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
