Jane, It appears to be possible to have multiple instances of Family Historian open, each with a different Query window. Could this be a workaround for Brian? If you make edits in one instance, you do get the dialogue stating that the file has been changed - just as you do with Ancestral Sources. If you answer No to reloading, then the Query window stays open but of course any changes made in the other instance(s) don't show up. Are there any pitfalls in using this method? As a supplementary question, is it possible to stop this dialogue when using AS? Regarding AS, the short answer is NO, because AS modifies the GEDCOM file that this dialogue refers to. The only way is to close FH while running AS.
