    3. Sorry Paul, it looks as if FH V4 does insist on putting all events (except burial) before the death, unless the date specifically puts it after death. If you do know the death date (even if only the month) you can force the probate event to appear after it by entering the probate date as 'after xxx' where xxx is the month of death. Using the up/down arrows does work for re-ordering events before death. The new version 5 due out soon has improved date-handling which should remove this problem.     3. Thanks Lorna, My FH is an Xmas present so I'm looking forward to a free update to version 5 when it comes out. After a week of messing around getting used to it, I can now say that FH is the best genealogy program that I've come across. Paul
