snip "One for the FHUG wish list, perhaps?" There are wish list items covering this : http://www.fhug.org.uk/wishlist/wldisplay.php?searchstring=narrative%20report&wcwcref=9&byusrvote=include¤tpage=3&orderby=&orderseq=&wlwlref=470 http://www.fhug.org.uk/wishlist/wldisplay.php?searchstring=narrative%20report&wcwcref=9&byusrvote=include¤tpage=2&orderby=&orderseq=&wlwlref=240 are two of them. I think there is at least one more which I can't find. I use the a variation of the Narrative Report to generate my web pages. I use a symbol {np} in my reports, sometimes as part of the fact sentence and sometimes for an individual alteration in the sentence in the Property box. I then use a free programme called Search and Replace to replace the {np} with <br><br>. This gives the desired line breaks but sometimes there isn't a capital letter to start the sentence. See http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~owenjones/des_narrative/ind56.html as an example page. NB the red text at the top of the page. This solution is only suitable for web pages.
