Hello and thank you Mike, I tried your suggestions which look good. However, I could not get the program to save. Therefore, I decided to uninstall the program from the administrator side and reinstall it in the guest side. It works fine now. Thanks again for the info. Gary 4. I upgraded from FH v3 to 4.1 I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I installed FH under the Administrator settings. I want to use the program in the guest settings. I had a DEP issue last week which I received help and continued on. Today's problem, I can save any updates in the Administrator settings. I can open and use it in guest, but I cannot save it. In other programs a box will come up asking for the administer password to authorize access or changes. I do not get this in FH. This is the error I get. Unable to save change Fail to generate temporary file in folder C:\Users\gary as User\Documents\Family Historian Projects\family historian 2011-08-07\family historian 2011-08-07.fh_data. Access is Denied. OK Please help. Also ensure all Tools > Preferences > Startup tab file and Backup tab folder refer to the Guest - My Documents... folder. As with most programs running in the Guest account you can only access Guest account files and folders. Note that many FH settings affect the whole PC and must be changed in each account when you switch user accounts. The FH Knowledge Base has further details about such settings at: http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=how_to:understanding_scope_of_featur es Regards, Mike Tate
