    2. Roger Mitchell
    3. I'm probably missing something completely obvious here but any views on the easiest way to generate a report which will show all individuals that appear on a specific census? I use Ancestral Sources to record census information for a family group, but looking back at some early research, I want to be able to identify everyone that appeared on the same census as the individual I am currently focused on. 'AS' generates a source reference such as : Census 1881 Langley Burrell, Wiltshire, England RG11/2033/104/14 (Edwin Merrett). What I want to do is take that reference and find everyone else that appears at the same address. 3. Hi Russell - Thank you for your advice. I'm pleased to say, having waited for some FHU emails to arrive so that I could be sure I was on safe ground, that you were right. I deleted my FHUG rule in Outlook, which did not appear to be corrupted, and re-entered it with a slight enhancement to specify from which email account the FHU messages would be coming. It now works correctly, and my years of duplicate deletion should be over. Incidentally, three other rules showed up as corrupted (I have deleted them) so perhaps there was in fact a problem with the FHUG rule. Can't think why I didn't do this earlier! 3. If any one is getting two emails and unsubscribing does not seem to be working, if you check the headers and send the exact email addresses as shown on the header to the Admin FHU emails I can unsubscribe them or just one of them. The most common reason for unsubscribing failing is that there are variant addresses for example btinternet.com and btinternet.net are both valid and get delivered to the same mail box, but the Rootsweb server sees them as different addresses. 3. John That doesn't change my suggestion - in the case under discussion, Outlook was the only reader the poster used which was causing the problem which was why I limited myself to that software. Another suggestion I have seen is to make sure that the option to automatically download mail periodically is unchecked, if you do manual Send/Receives. Perhaps Outlook sometimes does both in a very short period of time, before the message has been deleted by the ISP. Finally, a repair of the Outlook data file using the Microsoft tool SCANPST has helped others, as has making sure that you have all the Outlook Service Packs, not just Windows XP (Go to Check for Updates in the Help menu) Russell -----Original Message----- From: family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:family-historian-users-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of John & Ellen Owen Sent: 04 January 2012 19:56 To: family-historian-users@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [FHU] FH emails Russell snip : "Outlook can sometimes do some strange things without apparent reason, and the fact that it only happens in Outlook strongly suggests that it is the culprit!" 3. If you're running rules for FH emails, you need to ensure one of the advanced options is selected. Go into Rules and Alerts and select the rule for your FH emails. Click on Change Rule, then select Edit Rule Settings. This will open the Rules Wizard. Click on the Next button and ensure the 'Stop processing more rules' option is ticked. That should work. It's worked for me in the past, and I always ensure that option is ticked whenever I create a new rule. Presumably as a result of this, I no longer receive duplicate emails.
