    1. Re: [FHU] Custom Query - blank line
    2. Mike, You asked what I found I seemed to find two children, the girl was married but the boy was unattached to anyone. I suspect they had been brother & sister at some stage, same surname, and they appeared to have parents labelled 'unidentified parents' or something similar. They did not show up as orphans in that query so FH must have thought that they were related. I deleted the boy and everything came right. Thank you again, Nev. -----Original Message----- From: Beryl & Mike Tate Sent: Sunday, January 05, 2014 10:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FHU] Custom Query - blank line Nev, The "UDF List" Plugin reports "Uncategorised Data Fields" due to malformed GEDCOM. The "Show Project Statistics" Plugin provides a statistical report but also identifies unusual data entries. There is nothing malformed in the GEDCOM it is just that some data entries are so rare they are worth highlighting. A Family Record with only Children is perfectly valid GEDCOM, and identifies siblings where the parents are unknown, but it is unusual. Similarly, it is valid GEDCOM for an Individual to 'marry' the same Spouse twice, but the Plugin reports it as exceptional. There are many other valid GEDCOM entries that the Plugin lists as exceptional and worthy of review. I would be interested in what you discover. I started with a Word template, which works OK, but still takes a long time. Apart from all the junk, I had the problem that I use Chapman codes and they all had to be replaced. Most of the problem profiles on Wikitree are the result of GEDCOPM uploads which are just dumped when people realise the work involved in the cleanup. 1. [FHU] Deleting a blank box

    3. I am doing a project for someone else. One person, X, had a long-term liaison with another person, Y, (both were married) and there was a child and further descendants from this liaison. I have been asked because of sensitivities to remove all references to this liaison so I have deleted all the individual records for Y and her descendants. However on the diagram X is still shown with two boxes for the two partners. One is his wife and the other is where the other partner Y would have been. This latter box is blank and on the Record Properties it says that there is no record selection. Is it not possible to get rid of this blank box which now does not represent anybody? I am warned that if I delete it I would be deleting the entire tree. (I know I can hide it but that is not what I want to do. And I know that what I am doing is not good practice genealogically speaking!) Diana

    3. Correction: Individuals excluded by using 'Private' flag have NO details and are replaced by '(unknown)' against their Spouse. Individuals not selected at Step 2 have only have their Name and life dates and perhaps photos if Step 3 chooses Primary Page Type as Individual Summary Report. But if they are married and Step 3 chooses Primary Page Type as Family Group Sheet then full details are included on the Family Group Sheet. So you need to omit spouses too.
