    2. That still takes it back to ~15BCE! Given that the OP said he'd found the 100 generation line, rather than tracing it himself, and given that the oft-repeated caveat is never to trust any acquired genealogy without double-checking it thoroughly first, the prospect of re-confirming the veracity of that line would be pretty daunting, I would have thought. 3. Hello Andy - you said you had traced a direct line of 100 generations which, of itself, is a mammoth achievement but, if so, what exactly is daunting if the tracing is already carried out? I would be more inclined to average out a generation as 20years maximum in view of life expectancy in by gone days - and my word, you are talking of long by gone whatever their occupation. 3. Jack, Do you understand what I mean about the Multimedia Record file link pointing to the wrong location for the actual media file? I was asking about FH Project structure, not product structure, i.e. Family Historian Projects folder containing a folder structure for your Projects. Have you used Windows Explorer to try and locate your media files in the Project Media folder or elsewhere? If they are missing from the Media folder then copy them in again from the travel drive. Does that cure the problem? If not then, please give a few examples of where some Multimedia Records think their media files should be. i.e. In the Multimedia Window expand some Multimedia Records top left, and tell me what the File field contains. (You will probably have to scroll right to see its contents.) You can do much the same via the Records Window ~ Multimedia tab. Also, you can use Tools > Work with External File Links to get a complete File Links list. In this tool, does the File Links list start with Project Data Folder - Media, or something else, and if so what? Do ALL the files have a large X against them, or only some of them? Do you by any chance keep your FH Projects in a Dropbox or OneDrive folder? 3. Cecil, there are no such limits to my knowledge in FH. I do know many users have large databases of well over 10,000 Individuals. Most of the data is in a GEDCOM text file which will be comparable in size to a small collection of photo image files. Media files will be typical image file sizes and only effectively limited by the size of your disk drive. 3. Jackie - Why merge them? I maintain two projects, one for Mouldings related to me, and another for Mouldings (and Mouldens) not linked to me, or not known to be. If I ever find a person who should be transferred from one to the other it's easy enough (hasn't happened yet). Meanwhile, I can do in-depth work with my Mouldings without getting cluttered up by the not-my Mouldings, and vice versa. Worked well so far. Good luck!
