Dear Researchers, I am looking for any information regarding the Fairbains in Scotland but in particular, around the Glasgow area or Campsie. my Mother Jane Fairbairn born 1888 in Cadder was the daughter of Thomas Fairbairn and Margaret Gilfillan or Jolly. Margaaret Gilfillan was married to a man called Jolly from the same area I think and then , when widowed married Thomas Fairbairn. who was a Master Carpenter. Thomas Fairbairn brought a son Thomas , born about 1875, to the second marriage. They went on to have William born 1879 George, Elizabeth &Jane .
