Robert Fairbairn, husband of Helen Milne, born in and married in Scotland was my great great great grandfather. I, for instance, have a copy of I believe to be your book. In any event, to further round out the history surrounding Robert Fairbairn's death. I have a copy of his Ont. Vital Records Death Registration. Entry No. 18, OVR 002668: ROBERT FAIRBAIRN, J.P. 6th September 1874 Male 77 years Farmer Scotland 5 weeks sick, indigestion Drs. Ingles & Fairbairn (nephew) Reported by John M. Fairbairn (son) Lot 17 - 6th Conc. 4th October Presbyterian Registrar - Peter White. ROBERT FAIRBAIRN - A land record establishes that as per our family history, that Robert & Ellen came first to Michigan in 1836 - The land record index is as follows: FAIRBAIRN, Robt. - Res. Sandwich, Lot E 1/2 10&11; Con. 8; 5; 18371019 (1837 Oct. 19); S; CL (Clergy Reserves); Ref.# 01-C113-001-076. MARRIAGES: ROBERT FAIRBAIRN s/o Thomas Fairbairn & Elspeth (Eppy) Wood. 1ST Helen Milne in Scotland d/o Peter Milne 2ND Hellen Fowler b. Scotland 3RD Elizabeth (Ferguson) Clandenning - widow.
