Fairbairn, 77, of Margaretville, died Nov. 5, 1998, at Margaretville Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in the town of Hardenburg, the daughter of Frederick Davis and Bessie Ingram. She married Bernard Fairbairn on July 30, 1937, in Margaretville. He died April 22, 1995. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the dairy farm. She is survived by one son, Matthew Fairbairn of Margaretville; one daughter, Bernadette Beyes of Tomkins Cove; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Sprague; one brother, Glenford Davis; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville. The Rev. Hayden S. Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Gavette Cemetery, Millbrook Road, Margaretville. Calling hours will be Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, from 7-9 p.m. at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
