Hi, Betty, I haven't been able to trace my Phagan/Fagans back to Meath. The first ancestor I have found was Phillip Phagan/Fagan who is found in the court records of Augusta, Va. in 1751. He married Martha Newman in Va. and Phillip and Marthas family, Rev. Samuel Newman and his wife moved to Berkerly, S. C. where they had received land grants from the King of England as they h ad left the old country, I presume, Ireland, to escape religious persecution by the Catholics. Do you think perhaps Phillip[ could have been a realative, maybe a brother to your ancestor? Harriette
