Hi, My name is Harriette Fagan Timmerman and I live in West Palm Beach, Fl. My first ancestor, I can trace came to America around 1740 - 50. His name was Philip Phagan and I found him in the Chronicles of the Scotch Irish in Augusta, Va. He married Martha Newman, daughter of Rev. Samuel Newsman in 1763. They received land grants from the kind of England in Berkerly, S. C. Phillip and Martha Phagans son MOses Phagan who was born, 1765 in a wagon trail in N. C. as it passed southward was my next ancestor. His son James FAgan born 1798 in the Pendleton Dist, S. C. was my next ancestor. HIs son MOses C. Fagan, great grandfather was born in Habersham, Ga. in 1825. His son General Alvin Fagan was my granddad and his son, Claud VAnderbilt Fagan was my dad. Of course, there are thousands of Fagans in-between. I don't know where my first ancestor , Phillip came from, probably Ireland. but I don't know where. That is what I am working on.
