Does anyone know when Phillip Phagan (Fagan) arrived in America from Ireland? He is found in the Scotch Irish Section of Augusta, Va. as ear;u as 1751. He married Martha Newman, daughter of Rev. Samuel Newman . They traveled together with other family and friends to S. C. where they received land grants from the King of England. Their children were Moses Phagan, My line, Philip Fagan who married Jane Gilham, and traveled by horseback to Tenn. Martha Fagan who married Rev. George Tillman, George and his father in law, Phillip helped to build a church upstate S. C. in the Anderson area. Phillip married again after Martha died, to Anne Bozeman and they had two girls, Margaret Fagan who married Peyton Wade Nowlin and started out to Utah to help form the Mormon Church. Both died on the plains before reaching Utah but two of their sons survived the trip and help ed with the church. and daughter, Rebecca Fagan who married John McMorris. Thanks for amy info.
