Lawrence FAGAN (b:3/15/1810) and wife Bridget Smith FAGAN (b: abt 1817) were living in Bilston, Staffordshire, England, in 1835 when their first child, Martin, was born on Oct. 27, 1835. Their next child, Catharine, was also born in Bilston on Aug. 27, 1840. They came to the U.S. in June 1842 and settled in Penna. The following children were born while in Penna.: William Fagan b: April 03, 1843 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pa. Austin Fagan b: February 12, 1845 in Pittsburgh, Pa Lawrence Fagan b: November 02, 1847 Daniel Fagan b: February 13, 1849 in Pa. James Fagan b: February 11, 1851 in Pittsburgh, Pa The family, except Martin, then moved to an area of Virginia that later became West Virginia and two more children were born: Margaret Fagan b: May 15, 1853 at Paint Creek, Kanawh Co., W.Va. Mary Ellen Fagan b: August 24, 1856 in WVa. By the 1860 census the family was enumerated in Wilkesville Twp., Vinton Co., Ohio, and remained there through the 1880 census. They later relocated to Doniphan, Ripley, Mo. where Lawrence died in 1890 and Bridget in 1891. Interested in exchanging information with anyone researching this or related lines.
