My ggg-grandmother, Catharine Neville Fagan, was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1828, but moved to Pennsylvania at age five. She married Thomas H. Fagan, an Irish immigrant who ran an inn in Altoona. Together they had seven girls and one boy. According to family lore, the inn eventually burned down (though I don't know when). Tom Fagan died around 1879, and Catharine and her children moved back to Brooklyn, where she eventually died in 1910. I haven't been able to find any record of the Altoona inn, especially since I don't know its name. Does anyone out there know this branch of Fagans, or anything about the mysterious inn?
