Hi Lisa: I think that it is great that you are the new Administrator of the Fagan list. With two teen age daughters you must be busy all the time. I started this genealogy madness about 4 years ago and I too, spend a lot of time researching. Due to selling our house and moving to a new house, I have been off the Internet for about 7 months. Since I have become active again, I have noticed very little action on the Fagan List. Has it always been slow like this, or, am I missing some of the emails ? I am searching for the following Fagans: Luke Fagan - Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath Elizabeth Fagan " " " Their children: Anne, b. 1829 Co. Westmeath Mary, b. 1831 Co. Westmeath Bessie, b 1833 Co. Westmeath Peter, b. 1836 Co. Westmeath Catherine b. 1842 Co. Westmeath Bridget b. 1843 ? The family emigrated to New York City about 1853. I have information on other Fagan families from Co. Westmeath, if you are interested, I would be willing to send the information along to you. Good luck with the list. There are alot of Fegan's listed on the cemetery in this web page. It is worth looking at. Judy http://user.pa.net/~paddybob/index.html
I am listowner to both the Fagan and Fegan lists- NO Rootsweb won't let me combine them. Which they should be so I think I will post to both from now on. Actually there are so many spellings of Fagan. Including Faygan that I have run on records for my Fagans . They also used Phagan and Figgin! This is a new website I had not explored before . For a trial I asked the search engine for the usual spellings of Fagan and only had two returns but some good articles. The url is the search page so you can bookmark it. It may help untangle info you need. We all want to have info "Inquiring minds want to know!"Spice up your genealogy Or hide it! Poor Peter Fagan such an embarrassing death- drunk on a pickett fence. I did a search under different spellings only Fagan and Phagan had a return on them. Hi, Unfortunately, I do not know very much about my Fagan's. My father was Martin George Fagan born 2/18/1916. His father was George William Fagan born in Chicago around 1884 married to Dorothy Rauth. George's parents were George W. Fagan also born in Chicago (as far as we know) around 1856. I did receive George Sr's death certificate but there is no information on it as it appears he died alone. Any advice as to where to search next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Diana
Hi, I'm new to the list and hoping to find some of my FAGAN line. I have traced my Terrence Fagan wife Elizabeth Hayden Fagan to 1870 in Cortlandtown Westchester County New York. Terrence and Elizabeth are both from Ireland. Townland unknown. Terrence born abt. 1840 and Elizabeth born abt. 1845. Elizabeth's parents were possibly Patrick and Catherine Hayden. While living in Cortlandtown their three children born were Michael, Catherine and Terrence. They moved to Stony Point, Rockland County, New York around 1872. The children born there were Elizabeth, William, Peter and Anna. Around 1903 Terrence, Michael, Peter and William moved to Connecticut. They all lived there until their deaths in the 1920s. Peter lived until the 1950s. Hope this sounds familiar to someone out there! Thanks. Debbie - South Carolina
My Fagan family was in Choctaw Co., Alabama & across the state line into Clarke Co. & Wayne Co., Mississippi from the mid 1800s and anyone living there now is definitely related. Anita Fagan Heyd

We have many new listmembers. Topping 70 on our list now. It has been a quiet summer. Terrible hot summer! It was 112 at my house today. I am hoping to get back into my genealogy pretty quickly: hoping all the computer troubles of the past month are laid to rest. I have lost some mail so if you wrote me 2 or 4 weeks ago, it may be lost. Heat is terrible on computers and I lost ac several times lately. My Fagans are the limestone County Ala. ones. Perhaps a roll call is in order while we get ready for Fall research susan in texas
