Changing the subject..... I'm working with "The McCartys of the Northern Neck" [page 188] and in it this comment is made: "After Richard Hall's death, his widow m. Richard Harrison, who in 1698 built Holly Hill for his son Samuel Harrison [fn6]. In turn, Samuel's bride was Sarah Hall, sister of Dr. Richard Hall [v.i.]. She was also the sister of Elizabeth Hall who m. Richard Evans [ancestor of present-day Clagett children.]" _Does anyone out there have information on the Clagett family and how they descend from Richard Evans?_ An interesting aside: Elizabeth Hall's marriage ceremony to Harrison reads like a genealogy of the Hall and Evans family: "From QUAKER MARRIAGES OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND page 16 "Richard Harrison, of Calvert County, m. 7th day of 3rd month commonly called May, 1695, to Elizabeth Hall, at the house of Richard Harrison.
