    3. Well, this seems pretty conclusive as to whether there was a John Kingsbury, and it implies (although I would not say that it explicitly states) that he was the son of both James and Elizabeth. I don't think we can say with certainty that he was not Elizabeth's stepson, because I haven't seen him mentioned elsewhere, and he isn't mentioned in the wills of either James or Elizabeth. Of course, it could also simply be that he died before 1743, just like Richard Evans appears to have done. However, if this were the case, then the John Kingsbury listed as a witness to the will of Ann Pottenger would have to be somebody else, such as a nephew or cousin. I'm afraid I don't feel at all confident about this John Kingsbury. It's safe to say that he was the son of James Kingsbury, and perhaps tentatively he might be identified as a son of Elizabeth Hall, but I think that there's also a good chance that he wasn't. Do we have any idea whether James Kingsbury had a wife before Elizabeth? In any case, we still need to determine whether Richard Evans' child born in 1703, after his will was written (but not necessarily before he died) was a son, also named Richard Evans, and for this it would help to see the materials appointing Benjamin Hall as guardian for Elizabeth, Samuel, and Richard. We have a book and page, and know that this should be in Liber G. I looked earlier and was unable to determine whether Liber G is still in the Prince George's County Orphans Court, or at the Maryland State Archives. Possibly a phone call could answer this. I tried to find a listing of books, or any other extracts from the book in question that might help us date it without actually seeing it. I got some clues, but no answers. There was a Liber G from 1707, but I think that was a deed book, and not the book from the Orphans Court. The county itself was only formed in 1608, and presumably Liber G was the seventh book filled up by the Orphans Court. It is possible that it was filled by 1704 or so, after only six years, but it would be more reasonable in 1714, after sixteen years. Still, that would also be fast. So I don't think we can really guess this one. We really need to find out where the book is and whether we can look at it. 3. Correction: Prince George's County was formed in 1698, not 1608. Just noticed that in re-reading this.
