tHESE THINGS LOOK PROMISING.... but.... WHAT STATE ARE YOU WORKING?????? Zola Hull Riffe
I have to apologize. I've gotten confused and thought that Tom was a member of our list. Turns out he saw a message post and responded to me from that. I thought it was coming from the list, so I included the list in my response. However, I'm going to go ahead and include a couple of his messages here. If any of you see anything and think you can help him, feel free to contact him. Here are a couple of other messages: Based on my message which Zola also responded to, following is Tom's response: *Yes, I have found the marriage records of Ross Co. on line. In those records my g-g-grandmother is the Rachel Evans married Charles Reeder. Charles married first to Elizabeth Ross in 1827. Look for Anna Evins married Joseph Kent. That would be Rachel's sister.* *I am interested in trying to find evidence toprove that the Thomas Evans married Jane Steen and/or Thomas Evans married Sally Coxis the father of Rachel and Anna. There is also a Thomas Evans born about 1811 that could be a brother of Rachel and Ann. Could he be the Thomas Evans married Susannah Karshner?* *Sitting out here in Seattle I cannot do much more that look on line. I could order microfilm if someone could point me in the right direction.* *Thanks for your time and efforts. You never know when something might trigger something and lead you to interesting finds.* *Tom and Tom followed with another message: * I ran across you e-mail address on a web page I stumbled upon called 'The Welsh-Ohio Project'. On that web page I ran across an article about Welsh migration from Butler, Delaware, Licking and Allen Counties, some of which was into Ross Co. I'm now looking for someone who is familiar with all that migration and has the names of individual who participated. I continue to thank you for the interest that you have taken. I've told Tom about our list and our website, but that unless he thinks his Evans are related to our particular line, I doubt that there would be much reason for him to join. He might make more progress with the "big" Evans list. If any of you see anything here that might help Tom. Please speak up.
