Hi, Sue, John, the father of this Edward Evans, is the son of Samuel, the son of Richard. They are the progenitors of our Evans family in North America. I hope that nobody else has missed that! Well, that's why I submitted a Descendant Report..... as an experiment for us to all work on together. :-> And that's why I asked everyone on our Evans-Richard-Samuel discussion list @ Rootsweb to send in their own individual lines showing how he or she connects back to Immigrant Ancestors: Richard (1650?) and son Samuel (1691) This Descendant Report [as of 10 March 2010] has been uploaded to the Myfamily site.... a private site, not accessible by the general public... which is good because, until we get everything "pinned down" as accurately as possible, the general public should not see. We don't want mistakes published forever on the eternal internet. As members contribute their individual lines and these are incorporated into the descendant report ... and as any mis-information on the descendant report is corrected, new and improved descendant reports will be uploaded and the older faulty or incomplete ones deleted. I don't know how else to do this so that everyone can collaborate on this group effort to record correct data about our ancestors. If you don't think it's going to work, let me know I'll just pull the descendant report off our website and just work on it on my own. This is all a bit tough to do because varying list members come together on the Rootsweb list at varying stages of their individual research on the family: some have done an enormous amount of work; others have just discovered their ancestor.
