The URL below goes to an article in today's "BBC News" telling of a new unified way being developed to search for digitized British history for 1500-1900. According to the article, "Searching for sources on British history is about to get easier as work begins on creating a "sophisticated Google" for historical databases." http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/8577164.stm What I don't know is how inclusive this will be. Will it include Wales? Scotland? Northern Ireland? or perhaps even Ireland? I guess we will just have to wait and see. One portion of the database is due to be available this month.
