I probably have sent this before, but I'm sending again. This is for those of you who, like I, are being driven fairly nuts by the elusive Simpsons. Why Can't We Find the Parents of Lavina Simpson who married Hugh Evans!!!??? I received this email a while back. Tell me what you think: "From an email from Ralph Smith [lemtenbarnoe@hotmail.com]: As I said, my family construction is "pro forma" meaning that it looks this way but more proof needed. Amos Simpson, m. Levinia ________. Issue: (1) Henry Simpson, b. 1722/3 (2) Amos Sympson, b. ca. 1725? m. Sarah Duvall. Issue: 8 children b. 1748 to 1766. Amos is presumably the Amos in the 1790 and 1800 Censuses of Frederick Co., Md. (3) Lavinia Sympson (yours), m. Evans. The dates all fit; the locations are all right; and this explains where children Amos and Lavinia get their names. I think what we need to prove this are the estate records (presumably in Anne Arundel Co.) of old Amos. What do you think? Ralph" Anyone have any ideas as to how we can pursue this hint? R
