Tomorrow I will get out my Lucas Genealogy (Kemp's) & review her info (mostly from Leckey's Tenmile Country. . . ). I do remember she gives John Swan's parents as John Eliz. (Foster) Greene, or Eliz. (Greene) Foster - anyway, a widow with sons by first husband. Years ago I tried to figure out my Swan & Van Meter lines - both seemed mixed up in the published sources. Think a later researcher has VM corrected, but Swan may still be a "mess." It's great that you are looking at some sources I haven't seen - maybe you'll find some answers!
