Hi there everyone I have been real slow abt researching and after 2 major PC crashes,I almost gave it all up. The Samuel Evans who was married to Nancy Courtney,according to the late Carlisle Bowling,would be my husbands gr.grandpa. Looking thru my files,his son Marion was b.abt 1849.Nothing else mentioned abt him. If the census records for 1850 Marshal Co.W.VA. are correct,then Marion's place of birth is VA.
