Old news perhaps, (I'm working my way through two years of rootsweb emails from Renee and finding a lot of things that are making sense now after two years of work) and I have data on the Waddells who married into my Richard Evans' family. and I hope this will shed some light on the subject. Two W. sons, George 1748, and James 1761, married two of Richard's daughters. Susannah, 1761, m. James Waddell, 1780 PA. Mary Evans b. 1750, m. George Waddell 1780, PA. Am trying to connect John Watts data and think it must connect, because the spelling is the same.
