I am surprised that this data has not come to you before now. Enjoy! Richard Evans, my 4th Ggrandfather, was son of Samuel and Sarah/Priscilla- depending on which way the proverbial wind is blowing, and born, I believe in 1725. Yes, I supppose it could be 1736, but only if you can picture a 10yr old male parenting a child. Now, here is the data on all those folks from this family you apparently did not know about. In Richard's will, written Feb 27, 1797, and proved May 27, 1805 in Clark Co. KY, he lists his wife Mary, and seven children. (But not his own birth date, nor Mary's surname.) 1. Mabery (1746-1824) m. Margaret Forsyth 2. Mary (1750- 1805) m. George Waddell 3. Elizabeth (1753) m. Stinson 4. Susannah (1761) m. James Waddell, brother to George 5. Nancy Ann (1763- 1806) m. Zachariah Hardin Beall, father Leonard- both, Frederick Co MD. 6. James (1764-1840) m. 1) Sarah Meek, my 3rd ggrandmother, and upon her death in 1800, immediately m. 2) Seleh (Celia) Scholl, granddaughter of Dan'l Boone. 7. Sarah (1769) Of course, I have data on their families if anyone is interested. Hi Alice, Thanks for this information. I had dates on many of these folks, but they tended to be later than yours. Some of my information came from Charles Marck. [BTW, I've lost touch with Charles. Does anyone know if he still has an email address? If so, can you give to me off list.] My personal practice when I have two dates is to include both and put the name of the source next to the dates. I won't confuse the issue by listing these now, but I will add a couple of items that I had which isn't in your information, Alice, so we can verify it. I had a death date for Mabery of abt 1824 I hadn't known that George and James Waddell were brothers. I have Stinson's first name as John... so John Stinson. I had a death date for Nancy Ann of 18 Nov 1807 [so this or the 1806 date could be verified] You cleared up a confusion I had with Sarah Meek and Seleh (Celia) Scholl. That was a nice tidbit about Seleh being the granddaughter of Daniel Boone. Well, those are the major differences I had, for what it's worth. You mentioned that you have data on their families, Alice. Even though this isn't my direct line, I know I'm interested.... Hi, Alice, Do you know the relationship between Zachariah H. Beall and Rezin Beall (who married Nancy Williamson)? One of my relatives married their son, Otha Beall. Another of my relatives must be a nephew by marriage of the Scholl you mention. Marcia Scholl, daughter of Joseph and Lavina (Boone) Scholl, married James Holliday. Do you know whether James and Marcia had children? Do you know anything about the background of Sarah Meek? My ancestor, Esther (Wohlgemuth) Brandenburg, of Clark County, Kentucky, had a sister married to a Meek. The Meeks would have lived in Frederick County, Maryland, along with the Brandenburgs, before moving to Clark County, Kentucky. Regards, David B.
