    1. Re: [EVANS-RICHARD] some information on Dr. James Kingsbury, Elizabeth Hall Evans Kingsbury, and a tiny bit on Richard Evans
    2. Don Raymond
    3. To those viewing this, please, look at it closely. Read all the information and compare everything because in one place, they have Richard and Elizabeth with a son, James Evans born in circa 1703. I think a close look at the material will prove this to be the son, James Kingsbury, that Elizabeth bequeaths to in her will, not James Evans. I'm answering to the whole list: "Have the majority of our list members replied back with their lineages, or is it only a minority? From your most recent e-mail to the group, it seems that maybe it has been only a minority." I've received responses from 10 of our members. We have just under 50 total list members; however, of this 48 or so invited members there are 3-5 who have never ever participated [and I don't even know if they get their messages]. There are several more who would be considered "lurkers" in that I don't easily recognize their email addresses, but at some point they have sent messages. We have had a couple of folks unsubscribe. So, yes, I would say that only a minority have responded by giving their individual list lines. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to EVANS-RICHARD-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi all, I'm still here. Not doing much genealogy, just ... I prefer "monitoring" rather than "lurking" LOL. I am not a major researcher on Ninian Beall, but he is my direct ancestor, so I take a certain interest and have greatly enjoyed the the information shared by Evans researchers. I am quite fascinated with the recent information posted by Don. It helps me to understand the issues in Beall research. The researcher you quote, Effie Bowie, is widely quoted and her information is used as the basis of research on Ninian Beall. However, modern researchers have corrected some of her work. Ninian's wife is Ruth, but her surname is uncertain. The Moore is an assumption based on Ninian referring to a man named Moore as his "brother." There were apparently three Beall families in colonial Maryland and there is no proof they were related. Alexander Beall is the one with the son-in-law named Magruder. The assumption I have been making is that Ninian Beall (whose Scots name was Bell), was sent to Barbados as a slave along with his fellow soliders, when they were captured by Cromwell's troops. Somehow, he ended up with Richard Evans, either as an employee or an indentured servant. And I am still curious about this, especially since you seem to be following the theory that Richard Evans came directly to Maryland, from England. I did lurk on the West Indies list for a number of years, and learned that the sugar which was grown in Barbados was like gold in its value. There were huge plantations with English landowners and Barbados was a major stop. Ships routinely went from England to Barbados to all along the coast of colonial America. Real slaves were brought from Africa to work the plantations, but the English exported political enemies to Barbados as a prison colony. They were not slaves for life, so were not treated as well. 30,000 Irish were sent to Barbados, as well as a few Scots soldiers. I have a lot of ancestry in colonial Maryland and expect to end up related to all of you because of intermarriage. I have three families now who came through Barbados - some prisoners, some landowners. Anyway, the uneducated were put in the fields, but the educated Scots were put to work as bookkeepers, managers, and often became good friends with their "masters." I have assumed that this was the case with Ninian Beall and Richard Evans. Or was Ninian connected on the Hall side of your family? So I am extremely interested in how your Evans and Hall ancestors came to Maryland. Diane Hettrick dhettrick@earthlink.net

    3. I hesitate to respond here for fear I haven't understood the content and direction of the conversation. Bear with me if I have misunderstood this conversation, but hope some will find the information useful anyway. Don I have in my information on Richard Hall (circa 1635 to 1688) "He was a prominent member of the Society of Friends with his name frequently appearing on the records, and he was on the Committee of Cliffs Meeting in 1684 (Meeting Minutes, page 13). Per Lucas Genealogies, page 95, "In the Maryland Historical Magazine of 1913, page 291, is the following article by Dr. Christopher Johnson: "Ninian Beall born 1625, a Scotsman who had been taken prisoner by the forces of Oliver Cromwell at the Battle of Dunbar in 1648 had been sent to America as an indentured servant for 7 years. His services were purchased by Richard Hall, who was known as the "Kindly Quaker"." There are other remarks about Mr. Beall's future in the colonies. He seems to have had a natural talent for military matters and became recognized for these talents in Maryland. The Hall coat of arms is in Burke's General Armory page 442. On Ninian Beall specifically, "Maryland Genealogies," from the Maryland Historical Magazine, Volume 1, page 31, lists Col. Ninian Beall whose will "appoints his son-in-law, Joseph Belt, as one of the executors of his will," a daughter, Esther, married Joseph Belt of Prince George's County Maryland after that county was formed in 1695, and died before 1737 when Joseph Belt and his second wife, Margery Sprigg, are recorded in the administration of her late husband's, Thomas Sprigg, Jr., estate. (A) Joseph Belt and Esther (Beall) Belt had issue: John Belt b. 13 Mar 1707 m. 4 Mar 1727/8 Margaret Queen. Anne Belt b. 1708/9 d. 1762 m. 1st, 1724 Thomas Clagett & 2nd, Ignatius Perry. Page 401 of "Across The Years In Prince George's County," by Effie Bowie, states "There were several Beall families that went to that part of Kentucky from Maryland deriving from Colonel Ninean and Ruth Moore Beall," referring to land in Nelson County Kentucky. My memory tells me I have more on Ninean Beall somewhere but at the present, I can't lay my hands on it. One of my oft laments. Next will come the "of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most." Ah! more Beall info: "A History of Calvert County Maryland," by Charles Francis Stein, page 5; Ninian Beall is given as Indian fighter and Commander of the Rangers. Page 42; "Nenian Beall, a Scotsman, who had been taken prisoner by the forces of Oliver Cromwell at the Battle of Dunbar in 1650, and who had been sent to America and sold as an indentured servant, soon achieved distinction as a leader of the Rangers. Beall's services had been purchased by Richard Hall, a Quaker, one of the great land holders of Calvert County. Beall served his master faithfully and receiving his freedom at the end of his period of indenture, enlisted in the Calvert County Rangers. A man of giant physique, being six feet seven inches in height, with fiery red hair, Beall soon became an expert in Indian warfare and Indian diplomacy, rising in rank to become the commanding officer of the Rangers. He became one of the great land owners in Calvert and prince George's Counties. His vast land holdings included much of the site of Georgetown in the present District of Columbia, as well as extensive holdings near Upper Marlboro. He acquired also several plantations near Lower Marlboro, among these being Soldier's Fortune, Ringan, and Beall. He married Ruth Moore, the daughter of a Calvert County Planter. He lived to be ninety-two years of age, and had many sons and daughters. Beall was very devout Presbyterian, and in later life became one of the founders of the Presbyterian Church in Maryland. There are several pages dealing with the over throw of Lord Baltimore and Nenian Beall's roll in that. Page 88 of "A History of Calvert County Maryland," by Charles Francis Stein, states a set of communion silver donated in 1707 by Nenian Beall is held by the Hyattsville Presbyterian Church in Prince George's County Maryland. Page 235 gives a summary history of the Beall family which I could scan and share as a jpg file if anyone is interested. Several printed publications on the origins and histories of Maryland record Walter Smith to have married Rachel Hall, daughter of Richard Hall, including the will of Richard Hall in which he bequeaths to his daughter, Rachel, now wife of Walter Smith, 300 acres of Aldermason. Walter was commissioned Capt. of foot 4 September 1689 in the Calvert County Militia of Maryland (Archives, xiii, 242) Commissioned Major on 17 August 1695 (Archives, xx, 281) and styled a Col. after 1706. Walter Smith was a Justice of Calvert County in 1694. He is the son of Richard Smith of St. Leonard's Creek in Calvert County Maryland who was born in England and entered rights for himself in February 1649 and his wife Eleanor in August 1651. Richard was an attorney and is reported to be Attorney-General of the Province of Maryland in 1657. 3. Thanks, Sue. Information on your specific line will be incorporated into the next Descendant Report uploaded to the site. I have to tell you that I am still not convinced about the information we have on the home area/country of our Immigrant Ancestor Richard.... and his dates vary greatly from researcher to researcher. I just, at this point, am not sure how we will decide on these matters. [That is why I put varying dates in brackets: to indicated that information varies. We could do the same for the places: e.g. [(Llanfachraeth), (area around Tredegar)] We DO have his will, though. And that firms up many of the questionables, in my opinion. Now, I need to correct something that I misunderstood previously. In an email I sent several years ago, I said that Richard's will suggested that Richard had a sister who was married to Walter Smith. This is incorrect. This refers to one of Elizabeth's Hall's sisters...Rachel [or Rebecca] Hall, who was married to Walter Smith. So the overseers of Richard's will were Walter Smith, married to Rachel/Rebecca Hall and Benjamin Hall, brother of Elizabeth. Re Barbadoes.... I had wondered about that too, Sue. I mentioned it in an email back in 2008 and Gordon replied: "We need to check land records, but I think Barbados was named by someone who owned the land earlier than Richard Evans." Truthfully, I kinda forgot about it after that.... but we could still check the land records and see if the name came from Richard or from someone else. But Richard also had a relationship with Ninian Beal, which has intrigued Diane Hettrick [not sure if Diane is still on this list or not.] We were emailing about this: "Ninian Beall, as the Deputy Surveyor for Calvert County, "laid out" [surveyed] Barbadoes for Richard EVANS." Diane asked us to keep her informed of anything having to do with Ninian Beall as she is very anxious to know the circumstances of how he came to America. So she was curious about his relationship with Richard. FYI... whenever you want to search something in previous emails from our list [E. Richard Evans-1[1]. He was born 1665 in Merionethsire, Wales. He died on 07 Jan 1703 in Maryland. Notes for Richard Evans: General Notes: GEOGRAPHY: One of the most important issues to conquer while researching these families is discovering where to find them. It is less of an issue of them moving around a lot as it is the division and creation of states and counties within one geographic region. See the county formation maps at FamilyHistory101.com. 1776: MONONGALIA COUNTY, VA from Western District of Augusta, VA 1781: NW section of Monongalia became WASHINGTON COUNTY, PA and Greene County, PA in 1796 1783: NE corner of Monongalia became FAYETTE COUNTY, PA. 1818: EAST half of Monongalia became PRESTON COUNTY, VA. 1863: WEST VIRGINIA formed from Virginia ***** Birth date could be abt 1669 and death date January 7, 1702. ***** We have finally solved the mystery of who the "COL. JOHN EVANS" is who ended up in the Monongalia / Preston County area of Northern West Virginia & was living close to several of our Evans Families including our "EDWARD EVANS (The Drummer Boy)-1731+" !!! ( SEE EMAIL MESSAGE BELOW SENT TO ME WITH THIS INFO ) Also notice that this Evans line also came over from Wales in the 1680s (like our RICHARD EVANS-abt 1666 & his father) and also settled in the "RADNOR, PA" area (LIKE OUR RICHARD EVANS-1666 & HIS FATHER) !!! The "RADNOR, PA" AREA IS WHERE WILLIAM PENN HAD THE LARGE "QUAKER SETTLEMENT" - WHICH IS WHERE OUR "RICHARD EVANS-1666" SETTLED INITIALLY - before eventually settling in the Hagerstown, MD area in the 1720s+ !!! It is very likely that this "DAVID EVANS" Line is related somehow - probably "Cousins" who lived in the Quaker Settlement in "LLANFACHRAETH, WALES" in Northwest Wales !!! Mystery Solved for now. I will fill you in more as I learn more from the person who supplied this info to me. "Cuz Joe" Evans finlplnr2@earthlink.net (972) 612-6067 I have a David Evans in Radnor, Pa. He came over in 1684. His wife, father and mother died on the trip over. The father's name was Evan ap William ap Howell/Powell and David had a brother, Philip, who came at the same time. David married a Mary Jones, daughter of James Evan(s) from Wales who settled in Radnor also. They had a son, John, Who married Margaret ? and ended up in Va. Their son, John, came to (W)V and was a Col. in the Am Rev. Ring any bells? Betty Evans Riley September 2008 ***** >From Renee - January 2008 Here”show that ”blind”research went. I walked over to the last aisle of the book stacks in the genealogy aisle, pulled up a step stool and sat on it in front of a book stack, all dedicated to books on Maryland, which was about 12 feet long by 7 feet high and just stared at the books. I picked up a couple of books on censuses and found nothing special.... I searched through a couple of books on Washington County and found slim pickins..... And then I picked up a book entitled: The Maryland Calendar of Wills, Volume III. And there on page one I found the following: EVANS, RICHARD, Calvert Co., 7th Jan., 1702; 25th Apr., 1703. To wife Eliza: [from Renee: this would be Elizabeth Hall; until now we have known almost nothing about these folks] extx., 1/3 of personalty, dwelling plantation, part of ”Halls Hill,”bought of brother-in-law Elisha Hall, and 150 A., ”Johnsons Place,”during life. To son Samuel and hrs., afsd. lands at death of wife and 300A., ”The Hope”on Susquehanna R., Cecil Co. To unborn child, if son, 400 A., part of ”Evans”Range”on n. branch Patuxent R., Prince Georges Co. Should sd. unborn child be dau., afsd. ”Evans”Range”to be equally divided among afsd. child. and 2 daus. named below. To dau. Eliza: and hrs., 200 A., residue of ”Evans”Range,”Prince Georegs[sic] Co. To dau. Ann and hrs., ”Greenes Delight,”Prince Georges Co. Daus. to be of age at 16 yrs. and son or sons at 18 yrs. Overseers: Brothers-in-law Walter Smith and Benjamin Hall. Test: Henry Cole, Dan”lMalraigne 11.282 Eureka! There it was.... Our 6th Great Grandfather really was named Richard. He really did live in Calvert County and his wife really was Elizabeth Hall. We can see this from the property that Richard bought from his brother-in-law, Elisha Hall. What else does this genealogical sleuthing tell us? At the time of the writing Richard and Elizabeth have one son, Samuel [our 5 G Grandfather], two daughters [Elizabeth and Ann], and Grandmother Elizabeth is pregnant with another child. [A cousin has suggested that her name was Priscilla]. Moreover we have learned that Richard had a sister totally new information to us who was married to someone named Walter Smith and that Elizabeth had a brother named Benjamin Hall. [Keep in mind that this means that we can now track down all these new people Richards brothers-in-law and Elizabeth Halls people and maybe we can ”push back” into yet another generation.] We also learn that Richard was doing quite well for just having emigrated from Wales! Notice that besides his property in Calvert County [”Halls Hill,””Johnsons Palace”],Richard owns property on the Susquehanna River in Cecil County called ”The Hope”;”Evans Range”[on the Patuxent River] and ”Greenes Delight in Prince Georges County -- whimsical titles..... I like those better than, for example, 7141 Kingsbury.... I do remember calling our little place in the country [before we sold it] ”Evangeline.” But, you know, our Richard was really something! We can only imagine that he must have left Wales because of some sort of financial difficulty... too hard to make a living in Wales....? Or perhaps a search for adventure? So he moves to America in search of a better life... and, boy, does he find it! In a few years, he accumulates enough property to leave something substantial to each of his children. Well... there it is.... a little glimpse into how we, step by step, piece together bits which tell us about our ancestors' lives...all those formerly anonymous Evanses whose DNA is found in the cells of each of our bodies.... ***** "Elizabeth Lucas 3rd child of Chas and Elizabeth Evans Lucas was b in Prince George Co, Md 11 Mar 1723, d 17 Oct 1805. mar in MD 1742 John Swan, Jr. b Ann Arundel Co., Md May 1721 d 1796 son of John Swan, Sr., and his wife Elizabeth" further down the page: In 1754 John Swan, Jr. conveyed to Thomas Foster 'Swan's Delight' which survey was part of the tract called 'Evans Range.' Elizabeth Lucas Swan waived her dower rights. John Swan had purchased in the yr 1722 part of the tract called 'Evans Range.' This as undoubtedly the portion of 200 acres of the 'Evans Range' tract that Richard Evans had left in his will in 1702 to his un-born child who was Priscilla Evans-Groome-McClain. The balance of this tract of 200 acres, Richard Evans had left to his dau Elizabeth, wife of Charles Lucas, and in Dec 1744 she conveyed her 200 acres of 'Evans Range' by Deed of Gift to her sons Richard and Samuel Lucas." from Chapter Ten [page 110]: "Elizabeth Lucas-Swan of Green County, Pennsylvania and Descendants" by Annabelle Kemp ***** >From Sally Nelson a family member - January 2008 Vine of Liverpool, landed in Philadelphia, Pa. on Sept.17,1684.That is the ship that that his cousins came over on, if not, Richard and his family were not far behind....The cousins that Joe Evans is referring to are Robert Owen,b.1657,Wales,his father was Owens ap Evans,b.1616,d.1697. Robert and his wife Jane Vaughn, and his children, did come over on this ship. He was imprisoned for his beliefs and after his release, came to America. I got more info. On the Owen family ,but haven't posted that yet..He was a Quaker, I feel that Richard and his family were Quakers as well, but no proof. ***** >From Renee: Below: I”am going to try to piece together the pattern of the migration of our Evans Family based on these various sources. According to the book, about our branch of the American Evanses, Ancestral Trails: ”We trace our Evans connection back to Samuel Evans [our 5G Grandfather], who emigrated from Wales in 1730 [1692] and settled near Hagerstown, Maryland. According to Mrs. Eliza Jane Morton, Samuel was the father of 24 children by two wives [13 by his first and 11 by his second] Hugh Evans, our ancestor [GGGG Grandfather], came from the second wife. Isaac Evans said of Samuel: ”....he was a respectable, industrious man; but never made an effort to gain property. He raised a large family and probably did not become wealthy. Think he was an Episcopalian. Think his family was raised in this country. Think our family has been in this country 180 or 200 years. He was a man of good natural abilities, and might have done well if he would. His descendants, all I have seen, were of common stature and abilities.”[Note: I believe that Samuel Evans father was the ”first Richard Evans, but this has yet to be proved] Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland is where Hugh Evans was born in 1730. From Hagerstown, Hugh moved to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. From Cumberland County, he moved to Georges Creek Settlement, Pa, near Uniontown. This would have been about 1774. He then moved to Bourbon County, Kentucky near Paris. After 1795, he moved to Clear Creek, Highland County, Ohio, near Liberty Township. Richard Evans [our GGG Grandfather "started with his family from Kentucky in March, 1800] So: Hagerstown, Washington Cty, MD > Cumberland Cty, PA > George”sCreek, Pa > Bourbon Cty, Ky > Clear Creek, Highland County, Ohio. Israel Evans,{our GG Grandfather} [son of Richard Evans, son of Hugh Evans] was born in Hillsboro, Liberty Township, Higland County Ohio, He lived in the Cincinnati area, across the river in Ludlow and Bromley. But at some point he and Ann must have lived in Indiana, because our GGrandfather , George Robinson Evans, is documented as having been born in Rising Sun, Indiana. Was this when Israel was doing his medical training? George Robinson Evans had been quaintly described as: ”roving around, he knew not where”....evidentially he roved to Gretna!! So, insofar as the George R. Evans branch, the pattern of migration includes: Hagerstown, Washington Cty, MD > Cumberland Cty, PA > George”sCreek, Pa > Bourbon Cty, Ky > Clear Creek, Highland County, Ohio> variously Rising Sun, Indiana; Ludlow, Ky; Bromley, Ky; Gretna, La..... And now with our generation the migration has expanded: Missouri, Virginia, California, Arizona, Alabama..... and who knows where else! At some point it would be great to create a graphic [chart] with a timeline and combine that with the pattern of migration... to give a sense of the time span involved in this migration. Maybe someone with more graphic design capability than I could take on that little project! It tells us the date of the Will 7 Jan 1702 and when it was proved 25 Apr 1703. It mentions his wife, Elizabeth; his brother-in-law, Elisha Hall; his son, Samuel; his daughters: Elizabeth and Ann; his brothers-in-law Walter Smith and Benjamin Hall. Col. Walter Smith was married to Rachel [Rebecca?] Hall. Benjamin Hall was married to Mary Brooke. Richard's daughters were married: Elizabeth to Charles [George] Lucas and Peter Beall; Anne was married to Dr. Robert Pottinger. Elizabeth Hall Evans was pregnant with Priscilla at the time of the writing of the will. She eventually married [William?] Groom. Additional notes I have made regarding some of Richard's land holdings say: TRACTS LAYED OUT IN CALVERT COUNTY PRIOR TO APRIL 23, 1696, BEFORE THE FORMATION OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY. Keep in mind that in a previous message to this list I gave the following quote: In the book THE MCCARTYS OF THE NORTHERN NECK [pgs 188-189] the following comment is made: " Richard Hall [d. 1688] immigrated by 24 Aug 1658 as a carpenter. He shows up in Maryland 26 Aug 1663 [Maryland Land Office, Book 5:416]. He m. Elizabeth [-?-] and had four daughters and four sons. The main Hall plantation in Maryland was called Hall's Hills and was situated on the mouth of Hall's Creek [at least some of the headwaters of Hall's Creek are on Holly Hill farm, currently owned by Brice Clagett], which led to the Patuxent River. Richard Hall represented Calvert County in the Provincial Assembly from 1666 to 1670 and from 1674-1685. After Richard Hall's death, his widow m. Richard Harrison, who in 1698 built Holly Hill for his son Samuel Harrison. In turn, Samuel's bride was Sarah Hall, sister of Dr. Richard Hall [v.i]. She was also the sister of Elizabeth Hall who m. Richard Evans [ancestor of present-day Claggett children]. What birth and death dates do you all have for the Elizabeth who was married to Richard Hall and Richard Harrison? I think I have to revise the dates I had. They don't seem right. Renae **************** Elizabeth Hall is the daughter of Richard Hall and Elizabeth Wingfield[1]. She was born 1673 in Calvert County Maryland. She died on 03 May 1743 in Prince George County or Calvert County Maryland. Notes for Elizabeth Hall: General Notes: This is from THE HISTORY OF BALTIMORE on page 307 under a chapter entitled "Colonel Washington Bowie" "II] John Bowie Jr., son of John [q.v.] and Mary [Mulliken] Bowie, was born in 1708, died in February 1753. He was engaged in the cultivation of his large estate. He married Elizabeth Pottinger, born in 1717, died in 1775. She was the daughter of Robert and Ann [Evans] Pottinger, the former born February 25, 1694, died in 1738, the latter died in 1768; granddaughter of Richard and Elizabeth [Hall] Evans, the former of whom died in 1703, the latter in 1743; great-granddaughter of Richard and Elizabeth Hall, of Calvert county, Maryland. Richard Hall was burgess of Calvert county, 1666-70 and 1674-75, and died in 1688." *** An article states that she (Elizabeth Hall) was the 6th daughter of Richard Hall of Calvert County Maryland. ***** >From Norma Thompson I have these references to a Priscilla McLane, maiden name Priscilla Evans. I have her as the widow of William Groome, d. bef 9 Sep 1737. Her mother, Elizabeth (Hall) Evans Kingsbury (d. 1743) mentions her daughter, Priscilla Groom in her will. Her sister Ann (Evans) Pottenger calls her Priscilla MacClain. Ann Pottenger (of the following will) was Priscilla's sister and the wife of Robert Pottenger d. 1738 Prince George's County. I have Ann and Priscilla as the daughters of ?immigrant? Richard Evans (d. 1703 Calvert County) and Elizabeth Hall. After the death of Richard Evans, Elizabeth married James Kingsbury and she died 1743 Calvert County. Elizabeth (Hall) Evans Kingsbury was the daughter of Richard (d. 1688 Calvert County) and Elizabeth Hall, this Elizabeth died 1740 Calvert County. [From The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland(1868) - Transcribed by Colin Hinson ?003] EVANS FAMILY OF DUNKARD CREEK There were a number of Evans families who settled on Dunkard Creek, on both sides of the present State Line, and efforts to identify each connection ends in confusion. The following records are submitted because they belong in this collection, with a hope that they may aid someone in their ancestral search. The most prominent of the early settlers of this name to settle on Dunkard, was Colonel John Evans, mentioned in frequent dispatches during the Revolution. He was definitely on the West Virginia side of the line, and his family records are well authenticated in West Virginia. In the Swan-Hughes Bible there is found a list of names and birth dates of the family of Samuel Evans, who settled in Maryland about 1720, This Samuel Evans was probably the uncle of John Swan's wife. As three of the names of this list are found in the Springhill Township, Bedford County tax list for 1772, it is most likely that they came with the Swans or shortly thereafter. One of these, Hugh Evans, settled for a time in Fayette County and then removed to Kentucky, remaining in Bourbon County for a time and then in 1799, removing to Highland County, Ohio. Richard Evans seems to have stayed in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, while John Evans could be the man who moved across the Monongahela and settled on the State line. Here is the Swan- Hughes Bible record: Mary Evans, born October 31, 1718. Samuel Evans, born May 22, 1723. Sarah Evans, born April 5, 1725. Priscilla Evans, born December 26, 1726. John Evans, born November 2, 1728. Hugh Evans, born October 7. 1730. David Evans, born March 26, 1734. Richard Evans, born May 26, 1736. Thomas Evans, born September 27, 1740. Rachel Evans, born July 6, 1742. Found on Page 676 of: The Tenmile Country and Its Pioneer Families by Howard L. Leckey Closson Press: January, 2007 Sarah.
