Here's a thought..... Would anyone out there be interested in starting a "scholarship fund" at Family Tree DNA which would be earmarked for folks in Wales with the surname Evans? My understanding is that one out of every four people in Wales lives below the poverty line. The chance that many of them will be doing DNA testing would seem to be negligible. If there were a scholarship fund available, perhaps some Evanses in Wales would volunteer to be tested. This would increase the possibility that those of us who have done the DNA testing in America may finally find their villages of origin. "Scholarship Fund" is just my name for it. I think the proper term would be "Surname Project General Fund" on the FTDNA site. I'm curious to see how others feel about this. Renée
