I am trying to find information for a John EVANS with wife, NETTIE. John and Nettie were the parents of my ggrandfather, Robert EVANS, who m. Clara RULE in 1894 in Fayette Co., WV. Robert's age in 1894 was 23, he states on census that he was born in D.C. and on marriage license he has Va. as his place of birth. I can't find John with wife NETTIE in census. Did find a John with wife Henrietta in 1870/80 census but no children were in household. I am hoping someone on this list may have some information that could be of help to me. I am at a brick wall with this couple. "ANY" info or clue would be most appreciated. Thanks for any help given, Bev
