Among them are Jacob Evans and Jeremiah Evans "who reside in Cass County, Indiana" and Jesse Evans "who resides in Appanoose County, Iowa." U.S. census records for these two counties show Jacob and his family in the 1870 census for Logansport, Jeremiah and family in the 1860 census for Bethlehem Twp., and Jesse and family in the 1860 Washington Twp., census, along with four children from the Bickford family (relation, if any, unknown). The father, Daniel Evans Sr., was born about 1790 (census info) and married Rachel Bumgarner of Millsborough, Pa., then Catharine (maiden name unknown).
