Could Celia have been Cela/Celia/Sela Dunn instead? Could there have been two William & Celia Evans in early Madison County? Reason for my asking -- Nancy Evans Bone has been identified as a daughter of William and Celia Evans, born in 1802 in what became Madison County, GA. Nancy married Bailey Bone and can be found in Paulding County, GA. My GGG grandfather, William, was married in Paulding County, GA in 1844 and is there as a single man in the 1840 census along with his brother, Thomas J., who also married in Paulding County, GA in 1838. I suspect that Thomas and William are brothers to Nancy along with a Henry D. Evans who can later be found in Walton County, GA. The parents of Thomas and William were William and Cela (Dunn) Evans. Cela Dunn was the daughter of Henry and Nancy Dunn of Hancock County, GA. Hope someone out there can help! Mona Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. To Mona, Does there happen to be a Lucind EVANS in that list of children from GA? She is most illusive.
