I am researching my mother's side of the family and am trying to find out my grandmother's maiden name and about her side of the family. She has been deceased for some time, but her name was Velvie Evans and she lived in Clanton, Alabama. She was married to an Amos Evans who passed away back in 1978. Both are buried in a small cemetary in Clanton Alabama but I can't find any information about my grandmother's side of the family. My mother told me that her grandfather had married a cherokee woman but other than that, I know nothing of their family...what their last name was...etc; If you are related to a Velvie Evans and know this info, I would greatly appreciate if it someone could email me at [email protected] Thanks in advance.
