I think what is going on is that all EVANS Messages that are posted on the Message Boards are gatewayed to the Mailing List. Those messages do say that on the heading where it says "gc-gateway", and then there is a little line that says that it is a gatewayed message. When you see that, they want you to reply on the Message Board because not everybody on the Message Board is also on the Mailing List. We have to be very careful about where one places a reply to a Message nowadays with Rootsweb new way that they are doing this, it is a bit of a problem, I think. I also agree, though, that folks need to put more than just a Subject of "Evans Family" on a Message Board or Mailing List which is for the EVANS family. It is unnecessary to do that, we all know it is about an EVANS family, we just need more info about what you may be asking or are referring to. A message will be more productive if one puts a name, a location including State & City, or Country & City, and some kind of time frame at the very least in the Subject line. We are all eager to help one another, but we can't do it without some kind of info to start off with.
