Your Permilia/Permillie/Millie Evans - my gg grandmother was Permilia May(s)EVANS. Until I found where she and my gg grandfather, Rev. James E. EVANS married in Lincoln County, GA in 1831, I had never seen the name. Since then my searches have found several versions of spelling the name. 2. James and Permilia's son William, my g grandfather was living with his parents in Savannah (Chatham County) GA in 1870. Before 1873 he married Sadie Iv(e)y and they had a son named James Jefferson EVANS b Poughkeepsie, NY. In 1875 they had a daughter Lucy. Are you saying Henry's biological parents were born in NY or Solomon and Permilia? Where was your EVANS located in the 1920 and 1930 census?
