Hi.......you'll probably get lots of hits on this one.......LOTS of John Evans people out there cause there are LOTS of them (John Evans, that is!!) We have a John L. Evans born about 1815 (calculated) place thought to have been Kentucky. We can't seem to find him after 1850.....he was in the Trigg County, Kentucky Fed Census then. His parents were Ezer Evans(b. abt 1793 and who died after 1838, place unknown,his family was recorded in the 1840 Census in Hardeman County, Tennessee.)and Susannah Lindsey (b. 1795 Chatham Co, N.C. and died after 1870 of Princeton, Caldwell Co, Kentucky.....her parents were James Alfred Lindsey and Delilah Brewer.).
