I have been trying to find the identity of his parents. I was very excited to have found your posting about the will of John Evans on Rootsweb that identified Sarah Evans as the wife of Joseph Nash. I would be very interested in getting a copy of the will of John Evans. I am also very interested in any additional information you might have regarding Sarah Evans and Joseph Nash, or any of their children. I had previously found a reference to "Sarah, wife of Joseph Nash" in the will of Christopher Ottinger, which also mentions sons John, William and Daniel. But prior to this I did not know Sarah's maiden name. I have some information about Daniel Nash. He was born around 1776 and died Sept 17,1853, buried in Saint Thomas' Church Old Graveyard, Whitemarsh, Montgomery Co., Pa. He married Maria Shaffer on Feb 28, 1833 at Neshaminy Presbyterian Church of Warminster and Waharts, Hartsville, Bucks, Pa. Maria was born around 1817 and died in 1877. They had six children (two sons and four daughters). Their son Joseph Nash, born Sept 21, 1833 was my great-great grandfather. He also lived and died in Montgomery County, having inherited the farm of his father Daniel. This Joseph Nash married Emily Yeakel (descendent of Christopher Yeakel). They had three sons and two daughters, their son Joseph Yeakel Nash, born March 4, 1864 being my great grandfather. He married Mary Emma Johnson. They had three daughters, the youngest, Mabel, being my father's mother. By the way, I did find the following reference to the gravestone of Sarah Nash, wife of Joseph at another rootsweb posting. Could this be Sarah Evans Nash? TOMBSTONE INSCRIPTIONS AT MONTGOMERY BAPTIST CHURCH, NEAR COLMAR, MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA. Copied 1943 Sarah Nash, wife of Joseph, d. Aug. 19, 1832, aged 83 yrs., 1 mo., 20 d. This would put Sarah's birth date as July 31, 1749 Again, if you can send it to me, I would certainly appreciate a copy of the John Evans will. If you are interested, I can provide you additional information about the Nash family. Thank you!
