Hello There !!! My "EVANS" may or may not be the EVANS you are looking for & I am looking for. "My EVANS" have been in KY since about 1790+ and have been continuously in Clay/Owsley/Lee Counties for over 200+ years. This means your Mt Sterling is only about 30 miles or so from where My Evans have been since 1790+ and are there today. This is primarily in the "BEATTYVILLE/BOONEVILLE" areas of LEE & OWSLEY Counties which is just a little SE of your Mt Sterling, KY. Since 1790+ My EVANS have still lived in the area of Beattyville/Booneville areas of Lee & Owsley Counties which are very close to your Mt Sterling. Over the last 200+ years there have obviously been several people that have moved out of the immediate area. Therefore "YOUR EVANS" could be related to "MY EVANS". I pretty well know the Genealogy Tree of my Evans. If you can tell me some of the EVANS of the Family Bible I can probably tell if it is related to me or not. (PS. I have recently talked to one of my cousins nearby to Mt Sterling !!!!)
