My Evans twig came from Pennsylvania to central Ohio (Logan and Union County mainly) in the mid to late 1800's. I also have a number of Roberts in my tree, some connected to the Jones families. I don't know if there is a connection or not but might be worth exploring. BTW I have several cousins named Joe Evans.
