    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: rcrai4705 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.evans/10114.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks for the reply. Highland County is NE of Columbus, it's up in the Akron area. Also, the connection I'm looking for would be early 1900's. The family of today has no idea as to where the mother was before/went after giving birth. I've lost the only letters (2)exchanged between the son and mother but got the empression she was chased out of Central Ohio by the Roberts family. I get the impression that the mother was a "stray cat" so it's hard to say who fathered her children. The link to Evans DNA caught me off guard as there is no records of a strong Evans pressence in this part of Columbus (NE) even though there were many Evans that came in from the north (Cleveland area) and coal mining areas to the SE. As soon as I figure out how to copy the DNA chart I'll send a copy to see if there is a connection. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
