The best place to start is to list yourself, your parents, grandparents, g-grandparents, etc. Get all of or as many dates of births, marriage and deaths, with their locations, as you can. Interview your parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents to gather your information. Keep notes of what is accurate information and what are guesses. For privacy and identity theft reasons, don't post names and any dates of your living family on the Internet.
