Hi Roger, Do you have an Alexander and Rebecca (Wooten) Evans in your information? They had a son named Elias, so I wonder if "my" Elias might be a relative of the one that you mention. "My" Alexander and Rebecca were married in Surry County, NC, so "my" Elias was born in NC in the early 1800's.
