Background: there was an American minstrel named "Honey Boy Evans" who lived in the mid to late 1800's. He was born in Wales and his parents ended up in Streator, Illinois. He moved all over the US because of his show business bookings. At one point he made this statement: "An important article because we hear from him in his own words. We learn that he lived in St. Louis for a short time. And we have a great quote in: "I am a Welshman. I have a brother named Evan Evans - that's Welsh enough for anybody, I guess." I really don't know much more about his family. He visited my group of Evanses in Gretna/New Orleans frequently and he was always referred to as a "cousin," but I've never seen any genealogy charts which included him. I've asked questions about "Honey Boy" on the message boards before and never gotten an answer. I have a small collection of photos and articles on him, if anyone else knows him.
