In succession, not simultaneously. According to the information that I found on the WorldConnect website, Thomas had 7 children born between 1783 and 1806 as shown below: 1. Bazil Evans b: ABT 1783 2. John Evans b: ABT 1792 in VA 3. Margaret Evans b: ABT 1792 in MD 4. Seth Evans b: 22 FEB 1800 in MD 5. Andrew J Evans b: 1802 in MD 6. Darcus Evans b: ABT 1803 in MD 7. Children Daniel Evans b: ABT 1806 That's quite a time spread for a family. There are a couple of long gaps between children. Not hard for a man (even an older man) to father over a 23 year period, or even a woman if she married young. However, the age of the first Elizabeth (born ~1847) would have been 53 in 1800 and 59 in 1806; rather old for child bearing in those days don't you think? My theory is that his first wife died sometime after 1792, and that he remarried sometime between 1792 and 1800. It's also a possibility that the 4 younger children shown above belong to a different Thomas Evans (not the one born in 1740). Comments?? BTW, my wife's line is through Thomas' son Andrew J Evans Dick Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
