Feb great gr son Caroline Pearson also in h/h age 83 pauper This proves to me that F.M.(Francis Marion)Avans is a son of Martha (Avans) Randolph, but who is his father? born out of wedlock? was Martha married to an Avans before Thomas Randolph? I guess we'll never know the answer to this. This is the male child listed with Thomas and Martha 1830 and 1840 Monroe Co. TN. I haven't found F.M. in the 1850 census.
