Surnames: Evans, Robinson, Batty Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.evans/9630/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I've just disovered a whole new branch in my tree: the Evans family of Rise, Yorkshire, England. The parents, Henry Evans and Ann BATTY, both born in 1782 were not from Rise (but from Skirlaugh and Withernwick respectively). However, their many children were born in Rise, including my fourth great grandmother, Martha Evans (b Oct 1815 in Rise, Yorkshire). Marth went on to marry John ROBINSON (b 1811 in Brandesburton, Yorkshire). Does anyone out there have a connection? Kind regards Rachel
