Samuel & Margaret were married in Lawrence Co., AL 02 Nov 1858. Samuel's mother was Ann Evans b. 1810 (father's name unknown) Samuel's siblings were Joseph, Darthula, Adaline, Eliza, and Emaline. Ann & children are enumerated on the 1850 Morgan Co., AL census. No father is listed in the household. Margaret Mitchell, mother of Samuel Evans, is the daughter of Fanny b. 1818. Her siblings are David M., Elizabeth, John & James. This family is also enumerated on the 1850 Morgan Co, AL census with grandmother Frances Mitchell b. 1787. I am researching this family and have quite a bit of info on them including marriage licenses, and Civil War records for Samuel Evans.
