Mankey, 72, of Waynesburg RD 3, died Thursday, November 14 at 10 p.m. at Greene County Memorial Hospital after an illness of the past few years. He was born August 15, 1902 at Morris Township in Greene County. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lena Lough Mankey, who died November 28, 1971. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Raymond "Margaret" Anderson, of Waynesburg RD 2, and Mrs. Charles "Audra" Evans, of Waynesburg; one son, Kenneth Robert Mankey, of Waynesburg RD 3; one aunt, Nellie Mankey, of Waynesburg; several cousins; seven grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg; and resided in the Waynesburg and Nineveh areas most of his life. ======================= Nellie A. Mankey, 92, of 170 E. Greene St., Waynesburg, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at Fisher's Home for the Elderly, Rices Landing, following a long illness. She was born October 11, 1885 near Nineveh, the daughter of the late George and Hannah McCullough Mankey. She was a graduate of Waynesburg Business College and performed clerical work for several Waynesburg attorneys. She never married and was the last of her immediate family. Surviving is one niece, Nellie Reese of Scenery Hill, Pa.; two nephews, Mitlage Sanders of Waynesburg and Albert Mankey Sr. of Amity. One brother and six sisters preceded her in death. more: Friends of Nellie A. Mankey, 92, 170 E. Greene St. Waynesburg; who died at 3:45 P.M., Wednesday, October 4, will be received at the Frank J. Behm Funeral Home, Waynesburg from 7-9 P.M., on Thursday, Oct. 5, and 2-4 P.M. and 7 -9 P.M. on Friday, October 6 where funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, at 1 P.M. with Dr. Stewart Johnson officiating.
