I am not sure if Eli and John Wesley are related. Like I said before, John Wesley Evans had a brother, but I am not sure what his name is. They lived in Madison County, Tennessee before moving to Senatobia. On the 1830 Census of Madison County, Tennessee there is a John Evans listed who is just 2 names below Frederick Replogle (Frederick Marion Replogle). This John Evans born between 1760-1770, is too old to be John Wesley Evans, the husband of Mary Elizabeth Replogle. But Frederick is the father of Mary Elizabeth. I think this is John Wesley Evans' father. It shows that there are 2 other males in the house born between 1800-1810. One of those would be John Wesley Evans. There is also a female born between 1810-1815 who would be a sister. Then his mother who was born between 1770-1780. So it is very possible that maybe this Eli is John Wesley's brother. I wonder how close their graves are to each other. If they are! family you would think they would be buried in close proximity to one another. I'll look and see what I can find on Eli and Mary Evans.
