I only know what was written in the census. There is a listing in the IGI of Evans marriages in Clermont Co., OH a Vachel Evans marrying a Mary E. McDanals on 10 Aug 1848 . I'm assuming that that is the "Elizabeth" of 1850. That doesn't account for the daughter, Louisa, who is older than that marriage date by three years. It could be that Mary E. McDanals was previously married or that Vachel was. I'll check and see what I can find for a Mary E. McDanals in the IGI. I trying to determine if Vachel was the son of Henry Hudson Evans or related in some other way, i.e. distant cousin. My ggrandmother had a sister named Laura b. 1867 in IA, but there are no "Vachel" that I know of in my direct Evans family. If I discover anything more about any of these Evanses, I'll post it.
